With its 2000 year history Cardiff is a fascinating city full of superb architecture, top entertainment, sport and cultural diversions. Dominated by the splendid Cardiff Castle the city centre has a wonderful blend of Roman, Norman and Victorian buildings. The city is also home to Welsh Rugby as well as the temporary home British Football at the spectacular Millennium Stadium. Being a university Town, Cardiff has a suitably lively nightlife with plenty of pubs clubs and restaurants to suit any taste. It may well not come top of the list of places to visit in the UK but for a short break it can prove surprisingly rewarding.
